Storage

We will retain your personal data for as long as is necessary to provide our services, to comply with legal obligations, resolve disputes, and enforce our policies. Retention periods depend on the type of data collected and the purpose for which it has been collected, taking into account both case-specific circumstances and the need to erase out-of-date, unused information as soon as possible. We store datasets containing customers’ personal data, account creation documents, notifications and other information in accordance with applicable laws and regulations.

The processing of your personal data (i.e. any information that allows us to reasonably identify you) is necessary in order for us to fulfil our contractual obligations to you, to provide you with our services, to protect our legitimate interest, and to fulfil our legal and financial regulatory obligations.

By using this website, you consent to the collection, storage, use, disclosure and other use of your personal data as described in this Privacy Policy.

Please read the Privacy Policy carefully before making any decisions.

Which data is collected?

We collect two types of data and information from users.
The first category includes non-identifying and unidentifiable user data provided or collected through the use of the website (“non-personal data”). The identity of the user from whom non-personal data has been collected is unknown to us. The type of non-personal data that may be collected includes aggregate usage data and technical data transmitted by your device, and certain information regarding software and hardware (e.g. browser used on the device and operating system used, language setting, time of access, etc.). We use this data to improve the functionality of our website. We may also collect data about your activity on the website (e.g. viewed pages, surfing behaviour, clicks, actions).

The second category includes personal data, i.e., data that identifies an individual or identifies them through reasonable measures. This type of data includes:
Device data: We collect personal information from your device. This data includes geolocation data, IP address, unique identifiers (such as MAC address and UUID), as well as other data resulting from your activity on the website.

Contact details such as first and last name, email address or address or other information that we require to contact you following an enquiry.

How do we obtain data about you?

We obtain your personal data from various sources:
You provide us with this information voluntarily, for example, when you register on our website. We receive this information when you use our website or access it in conjunction with any of our services. We receive this data from other providers, services, and public registers (for example, data traffic analysis providers).

How is the data used? Whom is the data shared with?

We do not share user data with third parties except as described in this Privacy Policy.

We use data for the following purposes:
To communicate with you (to send notifications regarding our services, to provide technical information and, if necessary, to process customer service requests)
To inform you about new updates and services
To display advertisements within the scope of use of our website (further information under “Advertising”)
For statistical and analytical purposes, which serve to improve the website
In addition to the various uses listed above, we may also share personal data with our subsidiaries, affiliated companies and subcontractors.

In addition to the purposes set out in this Privacy Policy, we may share personal data with our trusted third-party providers based in different jurisdictions around the world, for the following reasons:
Hosting and operation of our website
We may also disclose data if we believe this to be helpful or appropriate in order to: (i) comply with applicable laws, regulations, legal proceedings, or regulatory inquiries; (ii) implement our policies (including our agreement) and, if applicable, investigate possible infringements; (iii) investigate, detect, prevent or take action against illegal activities or other misconduct, suspected fraud or security issues; (iv) assert or enforce our own legal claims or defend ourselves against the claims of others; (v) protect the rights, property or our safety, the safety of our users, your safety or the safety of third parties; or (vi) to cooperate with law enforcement authorities and/or to protect intellectual property or other rights.

Cookies

We and our partners use cookies to provide appropriate services. This also applies when you visit our website or access our services.

A “cookie” is a small data packet that is assigned to your device by this website when visiting a website. Cookies are useful and can be used for different purposes. This includes making it easier to navigate between different pages, automatically activating certain functions, saving your settings and optimising access to our services. The use of cookies also allows us to show you relevant, tailored advertising and to collect statistical information about your use of our services.

This website uses the following types of cookies:

a. “Session cookies”, which ensure normal system usage. Session cookies are stored for a limited time during a session and are deleted from your device when you close your browser.

b. “Permanent cookies”, which are read by the website only. They are not deleted when the browser window is closed and are saved on your computer for a certain period of time. This type of cookie allows us to identify you on your next visit and, for example, to save your settings.

c. “Third-party cookies” set by other online services that have their own content on the page you are visiting. This may be, for example, third-party web analytics companies that record and analyse access to our website.

Cookies do not contain personal data that identifies you, but we may link the personal data we hold to the information contained in the cookies. You can remove cookies by accessing the settings on your device. To do so, follow the appropriate instructions. Please note that disabling cookies may restrict the use of certain functions on our website.

The tool we use is based on the technology of Snowplow Analytics. For example, the information we collect about the use of our website includes how often users visit the website or which areas are viewed. The tool we use does not collect personal data and is used by our web hosting provider and service provider solely to improve our offerings.

Using script libraries (Google Web Fonts)

To ensure that every browser displays our contents correctly and with appealing graphics, we use script and font libraries such as Google Web Fonts (https://www.google.com/webfonts) for this website. Google Web fonts are transferred to your browser's cache, so they only need to be loaded once. If your browser does not support Google Web Fonts or prevents access to them, the content will be displayed in a standard font.
When accessing script or font libraries, a connection is automatically made to the operator of the library. In theory, this operator can then collect data from this. It is currently not clear whether and for what purpose the operators of the respective libraries actually collect data.

Here are the privacy policies of the Google Library operator: https://www.google.com/policies/privacy.

Collection of data by third parties

This policy only deals with the use and disclosure of information that we collect from you. If you post data on other websites or disclose them to third parties on the Internet, other terms and conditions may apply. Therefore, please ensure that you always read the Terms and Conditions and Privacy Policy carefully when disclosing information.

This Privacy Policy does not apply to the business practices of companies that we do not own or control, or to anyone other than our staff and employees, including third parties to whom we disclose this information as described in this Privacy Policy.

How do we protect your data?

We implement the security measures on the website with great care and protect your data. Although we take reasonable steps to protect data, we cannot be held responsible for the actions of those who have accessed our website without authorisation or have misused our website, and we make no express or implied warranty that we can prevent such access.

Transmission of data outside the European Economic Area

Please note that some recipients may not be based in the European Economic Area. If this is the case, we will only submit your data to countries with adequate data protection levels approved by the European Commission, or countries that ensure an adequate level of data protection through a legal agreement.

Corporate transaction

We may disclose information in the event of a corporate transaction (such as the sale of significant parts of a business, in a merger, consolidation or asset sale). In the event of any of the above, the acquirer or the relevant company will assume the rights and obligations set out in this Privacy Policy.

Minors

The protection of children's data is very important, especially in the online area. The website is not designed for children and is not intended for them. The use of our services by minors is permitted only with the prior consent or authorisation of a parent or legal guardian. We do not knowingly collect personal information from minors. If a parent or legal guardian learns that his or her child provided us with personal information without their consent, they can contact us at info at dpv-analytics.com .

We reserve the right to change or revise this Privacy Policy from time to time. You will find the date of the current version under “Last changed on”. Your continued use of the platform following the publication of such changes to our website constitutes your agreement to such changes to the Privacy Policy and constitutes your acceptance of the commitment to the amended terms.
