In Germany, unfortunately, thousands of patients at risk for cardiac arrhythmias are not diagnosed because the prevailing long-term ECG is time-consuming, personnel-intensive and cost-intensive – wicked tongues would say they are outdated and unprofitable.
With serious consequences for patients.
• Undetected atrial fibrillation is responsible for thousands of strokes.
• Arrhythmias can be responsible for heart failure.
We want to and will finally change that for the benefit of patients and physicians.
Therefore, in 2018, as a spin-off of the renowned Cardiologicum Hamburg, we founded ourselves as dpv-analytics GmbH with the vision to set new standards in long-term ECG diagnostics and thus in heart and stroke prophylaxis. In order to achieve the long overdue paradigm shift in dealing with high-risk patients.
In line with the motto “Prevention instead of treatment”, we developed a “Diagnostic as a service” system, which has already been awarded the German Medical Award as the most innovative medical product 2021.

Small device – big award:
The ritmo received the prestigious GERMAN MEDICAL AWARD 2021 in the category “Medical Innovation Product” at MEDICA in Düsseldorf. Every year, the coveted GERMAN MEDICAL AWARD honors outstanding achievements and innovations in medicine that enable better patient care. The ritmo system convinced the jury with a smart interaction of compact medical device and artificial intelligence (AI) in terms of innovative stroke prophylaxis.
